Milieu continues to assist the European Commission with the verification of the transposition of the Directive (EU) 2019/713 on combating fraud and counterfeiting of non-cash means of payment. In addition to the ongoing study covering 22 Member States, Milieu will now also verify the transposition of the aforementioned Directive in three more Member States – Greece, Spain and Luxembourg. The results of this assessment will enable the Commission to decide on ongoing infringement procedures and on potential further legal actions.
