Miia-Mari Paavonaho is a Finnish Policy Trainee who joined Milieu in November 2024. She currently works on projects for DG Just on Mobility and on a National report of Sweden on forest ownership. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stockholm University and a Master of International Politics degree from KU Leuven, where she specialised in European Politics and policy analysis. Prior to joining Milieu, she carried out a traineeship at the European Commission, at EACEA, where she conducted thorough analysis of proposals relating to capacity building initiatives in higher and vocational education to improve employment opportunities. Finnish is her mother tongue and she speaks English, Swedish and Dutch fluently. She is currently learning French.
