Miia-Mari Paavonaho is a Finnish Policy Researcher who joined Milieu in November 2024. She has been working on a variety of projects from consumer and company law in Finland, to non-discrimination legislation in the EU, as well as from green transition in enlargement countries to occupational health and labour legislation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Stockholm University and a Master of International Politics degree from KU Leuven, where she specialised in European Politics and policy analysis. Prior to joining Milieu, she carried out a traineeship at the European Commission, at EACEA, where she conducted thorough analysis of proposals relating to capacity building initiatives in higher and vocational education to improve employment opportunities. Finnish is her mother tongue and she speaks English, Swedish and Dutch fluently. She is currently learning French.
