Juan Pablo Rojas, a Canadian and Colombian national, has been working as a legal analyst at Milieu since June 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and an LL.M. in International and European Law, with a specialisation in human rights, from the Université Catholique de Lille. Mr Rojas brings over three years of experience in legal research and writing, particularly in the fields of international development, migration and asylum, and EU financial regulation. His core areas of expertise include justice and fundamental rights, banking and financial services, as well as migration and asylum policy. His professional background includes work on European Anti-Money Laundering and anti-corruption legislation, and on international and European asylum frameworks, employing both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Before joining Milieu, Mr Rojas worked at INANGA, a consultancy focused on development projects in sub-Saharan Africa related to access to justice and the rule of law. He also supported the implementation of EU financial legal compliance requirements at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). Mr Rojas is a native speaker of English and Spanish, fluent in French, and has working knowledge of German and Dutch.
