Anna Brys is a Belgian national, working as a Legal Trainee at Milieu since October 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Law, with a specialisation in international and European law, as well as a Master’s degree in Comparative and International Politics both from KU Leuven. Throughout her studies she focused on fundamental rights and environmental issues.
During her studies Anna undertook an internship at Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen, a Belgian NGO working on migration. She also completed a traineeship at the thinktank Egmont Institute. In the European Affairs team of this thinktank she worked on different projects related to migration, labour mobility and demography.
Prior to joining Milieu, Anna worked at the Belgian Federal Public Service for Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment for the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU. Here, she worked as a project coordinator on different files mostly in the agrifood sector.
