Milieu awarded new four-year Framework Contract on EU water and marine policies

Milieu is pleased to announce that, in partnership with Fresh-Thoughts and Ecologic Institute, we have been awarded a new four-year Framework Contract with DG Environment (European Commission) to support the further development and implementation of EU water and marine policies for nature, resilience, sustainability, prosperity and competitiveness.

Under this contract, the consortium will provide expertise across a wide range of technical, legal, economic and scientific areas. The work will contribute to:

• Regular reporting and assessment exercises

• Studies and analyses to inform policy development

• Assessments of acquis implementation

• Policy reviews and impact assessments

• Support for events and ad-hoc technical tasks

• Work on compliance cases

The contract covers a broad set of EU water and marine legislation, including the Water Framework Directive, Groundwater Directive, Environmental Quality Standards Directive, Floods Directive, Drinking Water Directive, Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive, Bathing Water Directive, and the Marine Strategy Framework Directive, among others.
