New project on AI and fundamental rights under the EU AI Act

Milieu has launched a new project for the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) to support the implementation of the EU AI Act. The project will contribute fundamental-rights expertise to the assessment of high-risk AI systems, helping ensure that compliance efforts are firmly grounded in the protection of people’s rights.

Working together with Prof. Gianclaudio Malgieri, we will examine the potential impact of high-risk AI systems on fundamental rights.

By combining legal and policy analysis with an applied focus, the project supports an EU approach to AI governance that encourages innovation while strengthening safeguards for fundamental rights in practice.
