Milieu is starting a new service request to support the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) by providing up-to-date information and evidence on equality and non-discrimination in Hungary.
The work will compile legal, policy and institutional developments relevant to promoting equality and combating discrimination on all grounds protected under the EU Treaties and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. It will also gather research and data on experiences of discrimination, bias-motivated harassment, hate crime and hate speech — both offline and online — covering the period from January 2023 to December 2025, and identify promising practices.
By bringing together developments, evidence and examples of what works, the project will strengthen FRA’s analysis of persistent implementation gaps, emerging risks such as online hate and algorithmic bias, and the need to effectively address intersectional discrimination in practice.
Milieu looks forward to contributing to this important work in support of equality and fundamental rights in the EU.
