Stanislovas Staigvilas is a Lithuanian national, currently working as a Legal trainee at Milieu since January 2023. He holds an LLM (honours degree) from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in EU Private law and a bachelor’s degree in Law & Management from the University of Mykolas Romeris in Vilnius. Mr Staigvilas has over five years of legal experience gained in both private and public sectors, as well as legal-linguistic experience gained at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg. His main areas of expertise revolve around legal questions in the field of European law, especially the Brussels jurisdictional regime and the Rome regime on the choice of law, transposition of EU law, EU regulatory framework, enforcement of the case-law of CJEU, adjudication of cases involving a foreign element, relationship between the Brussels jurisdictional regime and the Hague Choice of Court Agreements Convention, interaction between the CJEU and the ECtHR, integration by law within the EU, and extraterritorial jurisdiction.
