Oskar Gustafsson is a Finnish national who joined Milieu as a Policy Trainee in November 2020. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography from University College London and a master’s degree in Economic Geography from University of Amsterdam. Oskar has a specific interest in social and environmental development, transport technologies and renewable energy. The qualitative nature of his university programmes were complemented by specific quantitative research courses.

Prior to joining Milieu, Oskar worked for Eurocities in economic development, where he was conducting qualitative research on the EU’s cohesion policy from a social, economic, and political context. Oskar has also spent over a year at the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators in Ljubljana, where he was positioned in the Market Data Analytics team. His tasks included assessing transparency as well as analysing trends within the energy industry by working with large sets of data in parallel with daily communication with external stakeholders. He speaks Swedish, English, French and Finnish.
