Olivia Aouati is a Belgian national who joined Milieu as a Researcher in January 2022. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Université Saint-Louis, a Master´s degree in Law from KU Leuven and a Master´s degree in Public International Law from Utrecht University. During these years, she has specialised in the protection of human rights and environmental law, two passions that she wanted to pursue as a career. Prior to working for Milieu, Olivia was a trainee at the European Commission, Directorate General SANTE, in the unit responsible for plant health. There, she dealt with the update of current legislation in order to make it more compliant with the European Green Deal. She developed her analytical skills and gained experience in quantitative and qualitative research.
