Marie Müller is a French and German national, who joined Milieu as a policy trainee in September 2023. She is fluent in French, German, and English. She studied Biology at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany. After successfully obtaining her Bachelor of Science diploma, Ms Müller completed a Master’s degree in political science. The Master Programme in EU Trade and Climate Diplomacy at the LUISS University in Rome and CIFE allowed her to understand the complexity of environmental policies as well as the internal and external policy framework of the European Union. For her Master Thesis, she chose to further specialise in the European Green Deal, specifically in the EU proposal for the Nature Restoration Law. Ms Müller analysed and compared the implementation of the Nature Restoration Law in European cities, using Grenoble and Copenhagen in order to illustrate possible difficulties and challenges the new law could bring along.
