Laurine Tertre is a French national who joined Milieu in December 2022.

Laurine holds two degrees from Sciences Po Rennes (IEP), a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences and a Master’s degree in European and Global Studies. Prior to joining Milieu, she first worked as a Junior Consultant at s.Pro, a Berlin-based environmental consultancy. At s.Pro, Laurine was involved in a portfolio of international and European projects related to the sustainable use of marine resources (Horizon Europe, INTERREG, Nordic Council, JPI Oceans, Belmont Forum, etc.), with specific focus on the Baltic Sea region. Later, Laurine trained at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (DG MARE), where she helped launch a new policy initiative to boost the potential of the European algae sector. Through this experience, Laurine is familiar with the EU’s Better Regulation procedures, including impact assessments and public consultations. She also has solid knowledge in the EU policy-making process as a whole, thanks to her previous position of EU Policy Officer for the European shellfish sector.

At Milieu, Laurine is supporting the team working on the Marine Strategy Framework Directive, as well as other projects and proposals related to the marine environment and natural resource management. Besides her native French, Laurine also speaks English and German fluently.
