Cristina Celaya Ferrer is a Spanish national who joined Milieu in March 2024 and now works as a legal researcher. She holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and French Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Strasbourg, specialising in European Law, with a Master’s degree from the University of Strasbourg. She also holds an LLM in Legal Practice from the Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED) and is a qualified lawyer in Spain, having passed the bar exam in December 2023.
Prior to joining Milieu, Cristina completed a 5-month internship at the European Parliament and worked at the Navarre regional office to the EU, where she focused on policy developments in areas such as transport, energy, agri-food and sustainable tourism. Cristina’s other interest areas include fundamental rights, non-discrimination and gender equality.
Cristina is fluent in Spanish, English and French and has a basic knowledge of German.
