Clara Viñuales is a Spanish national, working as Business Development Analyst at Milieu since March 2021. She holds a degree in International Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid and studied an Erasmus year on Social Law at the University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. Clara has over three years of experience in tendering procedures for International Financial Institutions and EU Agencies. She acquired sound knowledge on coordination of proposals, stakeholders’ relations management, identification of partners and detection of programmes and tenders.

Prior to joining Milieu, Clara Viñuales worked as International Business Developer at a Spanish architecture and urban development firm, managing tenders for successful architecture and urban development projects in Europe, West Africa, and Latin America for multilateral institutions such as the WB, IADB, AFDB and European Agencies such as the AFD, LuxDev and EuropeAid. She had the chance to work on a wide variety of topics, which included sustainable urban development initiatives, architectural design for achieving Near Zero Emission Buildings (NZEB) and addressing buildings’ environmental impact.

In 2016 she was an intern for the Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom where she monitored and reported on the hate crimes’ spike after the Brexit referendum. Clara was also an intern for the Embassy of Spain in the Ivory Coast. She worked on policy research, monitoring and reporting on human rights’ development and transitional justice for the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
