Wenzel Bogaert is a Belgian national who joined Milieu in December 2017. He holds a Masters’ Degree in Law from the University of Leuven, and a Masters’ Degree in EU Law from the University of Ghent. His thesis on state aid and the financial crisis in the EU analysed the multiple countermeasures taken to tackle this event, and explored potential alternatives, including taxation and crisis merger policies.
During his studies, Wenzel actively pursued various internships, including at Publilix NV, BVBA Jorisco, and VVGB Lawyers. By combining both legal and business-focused internships, he received valuable insight into their distinct mindsets, approaches, and priorities. His main fields of interest lie with EU competition law, financial law, and environmental law.
