Roxana-Andreea Mastor is a Romanian national who has been working as a Legal Trainee at Milieu since March 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Bucharest and two Master's degrees in International and Human Rights Law from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands and in Energy Law from Vermont Law School in the USA. During her studies, Roxana also gained experience in public state institutions, international renowned banks and international law firms. Additionally, her studies and work experience have always worked hand in hand with her extracurricular activities ranging from Model United Nations, Model European Union, and several positions in law related NGOs to student exchange programs in USA.
Upon graduating from the Master's degree in International and Human Rights Law, Roxana started working as a Junior Lawyer at CMS Cameron McKenna, an international law firm, as part of the Energy, Projects and Construction Department. During her time at CMS, Roxana was involved in ground-breaking projects and assisted major global players in the renewable energy and oil and gas sectors on projects in Romania and beyond.
Prior to joining Milieu, Roxana was a Global Energy Fellow with the Institute for Energy and the Environment in Vermont, USA, where she worked closely with faculty, staff and other Fellows to help coordinate and implement projects, ranging from energy justice, climate change, international carbon markets to energy data privacy. Roxana’s position also involved developing project proposals as well as supervising and mentoring student research associates.
Her main areas of expertise include energy and environmental law, international law, human rights and climate change law.
