Labour Law Experts Needed
Labour law experts needed in Guatemala, Colombia, Pakistan and Georgia
Milieu is looking for academic/legal organisation based in Guatemala, Colombia, Pakistan and Georgia for a potential collaboration on an EU funded project called 'Targeted surveys on the application of core labour standards'
The project will assist the European Commission, the EEAS and relevant EU delegations in the monitoring of labour standards in relation to the EU generalised scheme of preferences plus and to the sustainable development provisions of EU free trade and investment agreements.
Tasks could include providing an analysis of the situation in the countries with regards to laws and practices pertaining to the compliance with the ILO core labour standards conventions, including related protocols, as well as other directly relevant ILO Conventions such as labour inspection, to the extent to which related recommendations and guidance have been followed, as well as whether and how the authorities and social partners are addressing application problems as identified by the ILO supervisory systems, by other supervisory systems (UN, Regional) or by other relevant bodies and reports (e.g. courts, labour inspection, social partners, human rights defenders). The analysis should also identify elements of progress as well as potential constraints in the effective implementation of the core ILO standards in the countries concerned.
Potential partners should have delivered at least 3 projects in the last 3 years with a minimum value for each project of 100,000 Euros
Further details about the project can be found here: http://ec.europa.eu/social/BlobServlet?docId=14738&langId=en
