Nina Joye Smith
Nina Joye is a Danish national who joined Milieu as a Legal Researcher in January 2016.
She holds a double Master degree from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark (MSc in International Law, Economics and Management, Master of Laws LLM) and a Bachelor of Laws LLB from the University of Northumbria in Newcastle, UK. An ever present interest in EU law and environmental protection inspired her Master thesis topic which looked into the duplicity of EU regulation regarding food waste destined for composting or use in biofuel.
Prior to working at Milieu, Nina worked at several commercial law firms both in the UK and in Denmark, working primarily within the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions and EU & Competition Law.
