Business Development Specialist
David Landais joined Milieu as a Business Development Advisor in 2015, having previously worked as a Bid & Project Manager on various development aid projects. He is involved in the tendering procedures for various EU Institutions and International donors, such as the European Commission, the European Parliament, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank.
Before joining Milieu, David worked as a Project and Bid Manager for Safege from 2008 to 2014, specialising in EU-funded technical assistances related to Environment, Water management, Energy and other fields. He was also involved in the management of a leading Consortium on the Framework Contract Beneficiaries (2009 and 2013, Lot2 “Transport and Infrastructures” and Lot6 “Environment”). During his time at Safege he acquired sound knowledge of EU procurement and project management procedures. Before this, David worked as a researcher in Canada for one year (Analysis of Flows Variability in Southern Quebec - El Niño Influence on extreme flows in Quebec - Measuring the impact of dams through hydrological impact indices).
In 2010, David worked in Djibouti as an expert on the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance to the National Water and Sanitation Office” where he helped improving the Recovery performance of the Water Utility and provided an in depth analysis of the record of debts and billing system in order to provide recommendations.
David obtained his Master’s degree in Water Management from Cranfield University (UK) and holds an Engineering Degree in Water Management from Polytech’Montpellier (France). He wrote his thesis on “The French implementation of the Water Framework Directive: the institutional dynamic linked to the information management”.
