Amanda Nordin is a Swedish national who joined Milieu as a Marine Advisor in March 2018. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science from Lund University. Her main areas of expertise relate to water management, ecology and ecosystem services.
Preceding her employment at Milieu. Ms Nordin was a trainee at the European Commission, DG Environment, in the Clean Water Unit, where she worked with the assessments of the Member States' river basin management plans. Prior to this, she worked at Lund University analysing how ecosystem services are being quantified in scientific studies, as well as the potential for cities to increase the use of nature-based solutions. Her scientific article on this matter was publichsed in the peer-reviewed journal Ecology and Society in September 2017. She was also an intern at the Scania County Administrative Board in 2016, working with marine and fresh water policy implementation and compliance.
Ms Nordin has also held various positions in several organisations, and thus gained experience in project coordination, communications, campaigning, etc.
