Giuliano Spagnuolo Vigorita
Giuliano Spagnuolo Vigorita is an Italian national, working as a legal researcher at Milieu Ltd since March 2016. He holds a Master’s degree and a European Law Specialization Degree from the Law Faculty of the University of Naples. In 2013-2014, he undertook studies on European Law (LL.M.) at the College of Europe’s Bruges campus. At Milieu, Giuliano is mainly involved in projects dealing with financial services regulation and environmental law. His main areas of expertise include financial services and banking regulation, European waste regulation, internal market law and competition law. During his time at Milieu, he has also built up experience within the field of criminal justice. Other projects Giuliano has contributed to include enforcement of EU environmental legislation, costs for access to justice and legal aid. Prior to joining Milieu, Giuliano was a trainee, and subsequently a legal adviser, at the European Commission, Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union. There he dealt with the implementation of the free movement of capital principle, where, in particular, he advised on legal and policy aspects of investment protection. In 2012-2013, he was trainee lawyer for a law firm focusing on Italian administrative and civil law.
